What a client portal and GPS tracking are actually for
These are not bad features. A dog-walking company with five employees needs to know, in real time, which van is running late and needs a way for a client to log into a portal instead of texting five different walkers. That is a real, solved problem, and it is why Time To Pet, Pet Sitter Plus and Precise Petcare all build around it.
A solo sitter with her own long-standing clients usually does not have that problem. Her clients already have her phone number and already trust her; asking them to create a portal login adds a step between her and the person paying her, for a report she could just as easily text.
